MENTOR is currently engaged in a worldwide initiative with the United Nations Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) in New York. The OHRM is under the United Nations Secretariat which is one of the five main principle organs of the UN supporting the organization in achieving its mandates. With some 40,000 staff members around the world, the United Nations Secretariat seeks to offer equal access to comprehensive learning programmes and structured developed opportunities to its workforce serving in some 160 duty stations around the world.
The Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) based in New York manages the organization's learning and development programme for staff at all levels through programmes that are aimed at developing core values, core and managerial competencies and promoting a shared organization culture and values.
MENTOR is currently on a 2 years contract (extendable to 5 years) as the assigned consultant to support OHRM learning and development projects in 14 city locations around the world namely: New York (USA), Santiago (Chile), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), Vienna (Austria), Geneva (Switzerland), Beirut (Lebanon), Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing (China), Incheon City (Korea), Jakarta (Indonesia), and other UN missions locations.
The project includes researching, designing, developing and delivering of subject matter through face to face workshops in various languages and sometimes through virtual classrooms remotely. The prime focus is on developing internal capacity of UN staff in being trainers and facilitators to transfer knowledge throughout the organization.
MENTOR has successfully finished the first year of its contract with the OHRM and is gearing toward delivering the second year programmes with high level of satisfaction for the United Nations staff supervising our delivery.
