Program Management Office (PMO) is a function within an organization that regulates processes and standards relating to project management, and shares relevant resources, methodologies, tools and techniques.
The PMO’s goals are to reduce costs, ensure consistency and increase the success rate of the various projects within an organization. It works to facilitate project completion on time and budget, with effective accomplishment of objectives and correct alignment to business strategy. PMOs depend on a number of standard project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, Scrum and Six Sigma.
MENTOR’s consulting team helps organizations in establishing this function through an integrated approach combining advisory, training and technology services.
Comprehensive solutions for project management
The PMO team manages projects, maintains processes, and offers support and training to project teams. It also conducts scheduled quality reviews on projects to ensure adherence to methodology and to identify process improvement opportunities.
Our team guides organizations through the planning, structure and process design for the unit. Simultaneously, we work to enhance necessary skills through training programs on project management processes, methods and best practices. We also guide our clients through the implementation phase and, where needed, provide an interim in-house PMO team to efficiently integrate the new practice into the organization.
In addition, MENTOR facilitates the PMO's work through a corporate performance management tool that provides information and tracks progress on strategic projects within the organization through dashboards and regular reports. Read more about our corporate performance management app.
